BOOK NUMBER TWO OF THE VAMPIRE ACADEMY,..

SYNOPSIS:
The threat of the Strigoi increases, and forces the Moroi and dhampirs to begin to think outside the box about how to protect everyone. Tense of course rises as always between Rose and Dimitri when Dimitri's friend and royal Moroi, Tasha, suddenly returns to the academy, leaving Rose of course with a broken heart. Of course Rose being the slut she is (love her character though) moves on or tries to move on with someone else, but her heart still aches. In this book we meet a new character - Adrian Ivashkov- a character who could easily be everyone's favorites.

REVIEW:

I kind of felt this book was a little slow, slower than the first one, and kind of dragged on, took awhile to get into it. I liked it and I eventually got into it by the end of it but I wasn't wanting to rush out and purchase the third book like I would have usually done right away.
I will say this though, I haven't given up on this series yet, and it does have potential.. All I can and will say is I am hoping the second book gets me hooked like it has done with so many others.

Now, Richelle Mead does ramp up the action, angst, and intense emotions in book two. There were some spots where I was just like WTF seriously just happened?! And are you kidding me Mason? Why Mason Why? Richelle is a master at making you fall in love with her characters. I care so deeply for Rose in this one, even though she's snarky, a little bit reckless at times and more than a little impulsive. Underneath her hard exterior, she's very vulnerable. Rose does go through a lot with her mother, friends, and the desires of her heart that I couldn't help but feel for her.  My heart was pounding out of my chest the last 25% of the book probably. The rest was kind of slow/dull.

GLAMITURE #8 - THE RIDGE

TITLE:  THE RIDGE AUTHOR: JOHN RECTOR PUBLICATION: 2017 PAGES: 284 START DATE: 12/07/17 FINISH DATE: 12/15/17 RATING: 2 This book....How do I even start this review?  This book started out really good, and had a ton of plot twists, it was GREAT, it kept my attention from the beginning until the end, but this book fell flat for me, and here's why... I felt this book was rushed towards the end, it wasn't put together, the ending fell flat and made the book fall flat...on its cover. I literally said out loud after reading it "what the hell did I just read", I was PISSED at the way it ended because the book had so much potential going into the story, I wanted to throw my kindle clear across the room, that's how mad I was.. Because of this book I was in a reading slump because I was so disappointed in the ending.

GLAMITURE # 6 - BRIGHT YOUNG THINGS

*DISCLAIMER: THIS IS BOOK ONE IN A THREE BOOK SERIES* TITLE:  BRIGHT YOUNG THINGS (BOOK #1) AUTHOR: Anna Godbersen PUBLICATION: 2010 PAGES: 389 RATING: 4.5 Bright Young Things follows the story of three young adult girls, Cordelia, her best friend Letty and Astrid during the 1920's era. I love this era and was very excited to read this book. What I enjoyed most was the way Anna switches back and fourth between each character, but it isn't "jumpy" like some books so it flows well. Anna doesn't announce that each chapter has a new voice which continues to follow the lives of the three girls and how they interact with each other. Each of the characters voices is unique and shares a different side of this bustling era. Cordelia and Letty are from OH (Ohio) and find themselves in NY. Cordelia came to find the father she has never known and Letty to follow her dreams of being a dancer/singer. Astrid and Cordelia quickly hit it off, as Astri...

GLAMITURE #5 - THE SHADOW QUEEN

TITLE: The Shadow Queen AUTHOR: CJ REDWINE PUBLICATION: 2016 PAGES: 406 RATING: 5 GENRE: FANTASY, YA, FAIRYTALE RETELLINGS This is a fantastic fairytale retelling you won't forget.  This is an epic fairytale retelling complete with a princess who is fit to be Queen, a wicked/evil stepmother, some action, strong characters, lots of magic, romance, a daring journey, a strong heroine, and of course a dragon who is half dragon, half human. Who doesn't love a prince who suddenly find himself as king, and yet has a fiery secret.  Trust me when I say, this story has it all. Love, loss, courage, and the rightful heirs doing what you'd expect them to do - fighting against evil to claim what is rightfully theirs, and a whole lot more. This may be one of my favorite "snow white" retellings. I loved the authors storytelling, world building, and unforgettable characters.  I absolutely love Lorelai, and I admired her courage, and str...
